I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I moved to the East Bay in my late teens. Since I was young I have had a love for the arts. As I developed my artistic abilities, I primarily focused on the women of the Andes. My inspiration comes from the innocence of the indigenous of the Andes. The ready expression of emotions on their faces, the size and strength of their hands and feet and the hard diligent work they do for so little. I am impressed by the close knit and supportive culture that exists amongst the women. I would like people to see the beauty and pride I have for the women of the Peruvian Andes and to feel the love I have for my heritage and culture.
